Christianity tells the story of the whole world & offers the best possible explanation for life. The Bible reveals a grand narrative, one that explains the foundational questions of life: where we came from, who we are, what has gone wrong in our world, what the solution is, and where we & everything is going.

Creation

In the beginning, the all-powerful, personal God created the universe. God created human beings in His image to live joyfully in His presence, and humble submission to His gracious authority.

Fall

All of us have rebelled against God & His laws, this is called sin. The consequences of sin resulted in broken relationships between us & God, & between one another.  The punishment for our rebellion results in physical death & God’s wrath.

Redemption

Thankfully, God initiated a rescue plan, by sending forth His Son born of a woman in the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life that we failed to live. Then He suffered the consequences of human rebellion by His death on a cross. Three days later God raised Him from the dead in fulfillment of the Scriptures. Our broken relationship with God & others can now be restored because of Jesus. And we can now live a life of ongoing transformation.

Now the church of Jesus Christ has been commissioned by God to take this good news of Jesus Christ to the whole world. Empowered by God’s Spirit, the church calls all people everywhere to repent of their sins & to trust in Jesus alone for forgiveness.

Restoration

The Bible promises that Jesus Christ will return to this earth as the conquering King. Only those who live in repentant faith in Christ will escape God’s judgment & live joyfully in God’s presence for all eternity. God’s message is the same to all of us: repent & believe, before it’s too late. God promises that, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord & believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
